Step 1 - Create Dynamic VLAN pool for VMM Domain

In ACI we utilize dynamic VLAN pools instead of static single port definitions. This is to allow the ACI fabric to assign a VLAN to each individual VMware port groups. Then the fabric uses the packets arriving with the specific VLAN TAG to the inbound EPG and proper policy makeup.


The name for the VLAN pool is: k8s_pod09_vmmpool




Step 2 - Create VMM domain


The name for the Virtual Switch name is: k8s_pod09_dvs , then click the plus button to create a vCenter credentials policy.


  • Name of the vCenter Credentials: k8s_pod09_crd
  • Username: acik8spod09
  • Password: k8s.123


Click the plus button to create a vCenter connection policy:


  • Name of the vCenter controller: k8s_pod09_vcenter
  • Hostname / IP Address: 10.0.226.193
  • Datacenter: dc_pod09
  • Associated Credential: k8s_pod09_crd
